The ]Guys I have a pipe which runs out of the front of the intake manifold which when I took off was running under the manifold between the valley pan and the manifold. It must go somewhere but mine was just laying there. Any one have any clues as to where it should go. It looks like at some point it’s been hacked off as it doesn’t reach the pcv valve at the back

If that's where it's supposed to go then you need a new longer pipe.;) We like photo's.:D

I believe l322`s have vacuum engine mounts i wonder if it could be for that, surely it was not running right with the pipe like that.
 
Well you've successfully uploaded the photo's in fact I've got one in triplicate:D looks like the pipe has snapped off the bit by your finger, new pipe and clip required unless you can cut it back and refit when you've removed the old bit.
 
Yes I think that is we’re it should have gone but will now have to reroute it as the heads are back on it !!!
