as fake elvis said, adrian flux were by far cheapest for me. I've heard there not very fast on doing anything about it if you do have an accident though. thats not from personal experience, just what a friend told me...

National Farmers Union for me! The lass in Chippenham branch is always friendly and they werent bothered about me carrying Oxygen as a local Responder, nor going off road!

Absolutely true - they are only the frontmen, the actual insurance agent (@rsehole) was slow, rude, undervalued my vehicle, made for an absolutely awful experience when claiming. Good option for a premium, just DON'T have an accident!

your right it was that if you wer insured fully comp you could drive another vehicle third party but only if that vehicle had insurance on it, a lot of companies have pulled this because of people driving cars that have no insurance and saying they are covered with ther policy. nearly got caught out on this myself:eek:

My insurance company doubled my premium without warning. I pay monthly, and thought, what?! It's twice what it was.

Paying £2,000 a year now, comp with full no claims and zero points on license from Direct Line.

Tried to get them to drop it and they refused.

God I couldn't put up with all the **** of a standard policy-mine anything upto 7.5 ton

I ended up with Adrian flux I know they get some bad reviews but I got fully comp, drive other cars, green lane cover for £500 which ain't to bad I thought.

I'm with Adrian Flux. Had a few problems with them while trying to sort out my policy, but they sorted it out. They also permit me to drive other people's cars with permission. The policy also covers the car for green laning and off road use.

Keep in mind that Adrian Flux is an insurance broker, not an outright insurance company. Therefore, you need to state all of your requirements as policies will differ.

@ freelander2002

You may want to take those sidesteps off if you plan to go off road. They will be a big hindrance and if you hit the prominent brackets underneath, they can damage your sills. Here's what my sidesteps did to my car:

WTF!!

Is your car gold-plated? I have 2 claims and a speeding fine within last 5 yrs and my premium is £800 fully comp from Swiftcover; unless you're a millionaire I'd tell Direct Line to go boil their bottoms! ;)

By the sounds of it he must be under 25 - even then it's steep!

The opperative words here are "Direct Line" say no more. They are happy to take your money but the dont pay it out even when the accident aint your fault.

Just had my invitation to renew from Sureterm, change of vehicle from worthless Disco L reg 300TDi auto to 02 TD4ES Auto wiv all the options on, £230 fully comp, other cars not owned etc covered, ncd protected, 8000 miles pa limit. I am an old bast**d tho.
I'll renew unless NFU beats it. The comparison and meercats sites were a waste of time.
Cheers, Bill
