In the middle of getting an insurance agreed value on my Defender 90. Also waiting for the **** takes... :D

Ive based my personal valuation of the car on the original price + the price of all parts minus a bit.

The car and all the bits Ive spent comes to around £13,000 so I valued it at £12,000. Insurance came back to me at £10,500, thats alright but obviously I want as much out of it as possible and in the case it does get nicked/ruined then I would like to be able to re build the same/similar Landy again.

Specs list as follows -

2002 Defender 90 TD5 - 75K

What you guys think? Leave it at £10500 or ask for more?

If you want to agree a price with the insurance company, then stick at your valuation.

They will insure anything at any price, which is generally reflected in the premiums they will ask you to pay!

when I had my MG B I just put down the price I paid for it, sent off some pics and they agreed it no probs
