Hi, guys, rang a shop and they only have software for 2006 onwards mine is a 2002 TD6 so looking for a software that can read and code and looking into INPA.
I see people are downloading free but have a few questions please.

Where to download ?
What version ?
Do I have to swap leads of the lead to connect to diognostic ports ?

Cant afford the Gap toll at the minute and need to delve deeper on my suspension inactive issue.
In Portsmouth if you can help.

Many thanks.

@stustrong has played with INPA. I don't know if you have to make up your own plug or not and I doubt it does much more than the engine but Stuart might know.

Storey Wilson is the other option. I cannot recall what he called the software for the earlier model. Or if it does much to the diesel engine now I think about it. 4Dcan was for the later canbus models.

Maybe you could do the How To once you've sussed it?
Hi mate.....Yes ! I wll be do not worry I believe that every thread started should have an end and am documenting my journey to freedom of inactive suspension as we speak !
I am making videos as well and taking pictures and hope I win and fully restore her to be one of the nice ones....well thats my goal anyway !
If I can sus it all out I will then be more than happy to assist other owners as that I enjoy doing.
I will add a few pictures below if I can !
I have INPA on oreder to calibrate the suspension and then hope to be able to afford all comms from Storey and will be happy to calibrate for others as well once I have it and help fault find if they pop to me in Portsmouth.
This is when I went to view her and collected her.
No front fan and thermostat stuck open ride height inactive no
stereo system and empty of fuel ! No fuel cap even !
Door panels held on with cable ties and passenger door
jammed shut, windows very random at opening and just
by looking at the outside imagine the inside !

Nice. Best check the brake lines as they're a bit notorious on later models.

Pretty bad on early L322's as well, a pipe burst on the long run front to back on my mate's when the MOT tester stood on the brakes.
Ill get her up on ramps again have a look, still have bearing both lower balljoints on the front and a bit of welding to make her good mate, as said my goal is to make her like she once was mate.

Have a goooogle for "mikes easy bmw tools" for inpa software its free down load and dead easy to install as long as you are running widows if you got chrome book you are on a looser.
