Hi all
finnally got round to replacing the headlights on my 200 today, thought everything was going to well & then it all went t**ts up. Found my original headlight adjuster screws were a lot longer than the donor headlights i had acquired, that i can deal with! The amount of rust in the os headlight panel where it is joined to the battery carrier has freaked me out. I knew that my os inner wing assembly was going to need replacing at some stage but i was not expecting it to have deteriorated to the headlight carrier. Now the inner wing replacement wing imminent i need to know a few things, can the inner wing panels (which i know are available in sections) be spot welded into place & is the headlight carrier available as a separate part & not the complete front panel? also i was told the headlight adjusters for a 200 are approx 40 quid, surley this is not right for two plastic clips & two orange knobs

parts available from YRM. headlight panels yu make yoself ( I have some drawings).
Spot welds should be fine , as that is as original, make sure the pitch is as original too.

Thanks again mad hat man for such a quick reply, if you could tell me how i can get these drawings that would be fantastic. Have you ever come acroos the price for the said headlight adjusters as it seems steep to me, i would expect to pay that sort of money for the adjusters on automatic adjusting headlights.

get them orf ebay - or ask on here, as lots of peep scrap discos.

if yu show with pics the area in question, i will try and send yu the right drawings.

have a look here, to see my rebuild (part of)
