Does anyone know if the injectors have a fuse or a relay that they use? I know they are controlled via the ECU but was wondering if they had anything and where it is situated? Reason I am asking is the car would start with a bump now nothing since I had the pump out. I am not confident the injectors are injecting!

Cor. . .aint ya got it going yet Darrn,,,the injectors are fed via ecm and its inputs are huge , if ya clever like me you could put an avo on volts and measure each signal to injectors dont use the earth go to both wires ,start at 12vdc but think its a lower voltage 6vdc from ecm , the In [ma] is very low and so an exspensive dc simpson meter could detect it[clamp meter] the +ve is common to all and signal is via -ve so best use a digital meter, this is a very high speed signal, so a latch memory type meter or osiloscope . . .best oh luck. . .:)

Minge - mornin' - does the lo volts as described above apply to all circuits - cos i woz finkin abart Flyboys rear wiper - it says power on gr and return on g (and reversed) - do yu no if thats 12v or less?

Very good question floppy. . .all signals on most modern earthling ecu,s ecm,s ect [managment systems] where eeproms or chip type circuits are used, be it 12vdc or lower switching devices [inputs]switches ,detectors ,ect, are +ve, , , , but outputs [things that do work]lights relays led's ect are normally -ve [signal] on its other side a common +ve ,the -ve is not to be confused with the cars earth, why you might ask ,will let ya think about it,smirk. . . .

;) easy peasy - but i aint tellin ya - coz i is a whingein old bore.:D

that still dont answer the q - is the motor 12v? I assume it is to keep the ol' III's down - but I is askin coz if me ol' m8 wants to test his motor an sticks 12v on it and it aint - he will deffo have a caput motor - wont he..

Reet ,thing like motors ,relays ,solenoids ect, still work on 12vdc , but smaller things [control] fed orft any ems, then never ever stick a test lamp /cheap avo or linking to earth or flashing 12v down it [or you'll be sobbin]also remember that some smaller type relay's [use the ems]. . .if volts is decreased then amps increases , this is your earth law, the reason that ems use a lower v [sometimes] is the chips are manufactured that way, so an isolated psu is used ta stop high end inductance from other cables . . .got ah headache now going ta the pub. . . .:D

lol - ta Minge

"this is your earth law"

ps i fort it woz Ohms Law and it was the same whichevva planet yu woz on.

a basic earth law only. . .

We dont use any electrical energy, stopped usin that when you was apes ,[ like the tractor boys] titter. . . . .
