Trying to get the SAT NAV working this morning by removing the Fuse and then when I turn on the ignition I start to receive 2 error messages on the dash board:

- Traction Control Failure
- Gear Box Failure

Not been an expert, does this now mean I now have to visit the nice people at Land Rover.

Those messages are too critical not to take to LR, but my advice is to take it to a LR specialist as their labour charges are always cheaper than that of official LR dealers. If something is major the price will be mainly made up of labour charges and a difference of £30 per hour can make or break your bank balance.

On the positive side, it could be telling you porkies after you have just removed a fuse and has caused the BECEM to give you false readings.

The only way to find out which is telling you the truth is to perform a Testbook.

Driving it today and the messages have just disappeared, must have confused the computer with taking out the fuse.

they are just messages due to loss of power to the module, u will also get them if you get a flat battery, nothing to worry about in those circumstances
