parts should be the same.imports are usually in better condition than uk models due to having no salt on the roads. mileages are also usually lower so all in all in my opinion imports are a better buy and usually they come with extras that you dont get over here.the only thing you might need to look out for is what grade of fuel you put in it especially if its a petrol as fuel from other countries is sometimes a higher RON than ours and so you may only be able to run it on super unleaded,the diesel version wouldnt matter and normal diesel would be fine.
 
i have repatriated disco had it a couple of years they are usually in better condition dont take much notice of service book unless it can be verified but i would buy an import as they are good value there aint alot of difference between uk and jap discos
 
Insurance may be higher on an import.



Got around that one by telling them it was a Re-Import, told them it was made here and just got brought back in.

Insurance said, "no problem then". They were only interested if it was the Pajero type imports.
 
OMG you may have a problem with a Jap import

it may very well be not as rotten as fluck ,it may well have a boot floor , inner wings and sills :D
 
iVe been very disappointed with my jap reimport.Theres hardly any welding to do at all :mad::mad:

no insurance probs at all as long as you got the documents

Do you still have a Japanese import and can you tell me where you get spares for it, the exhaust on my 300tdi is different to the normal Brit one and I need a new part
 
Im about to replace cat section of my jap disco with a non cat piece....I will post how it comes out,since mine has a cat warning light.....
