please is there anyway that my imobiliser can be switched off?..my car gave up the ghost at the weekend..imobilised and that noise of no engine starting and the bells of doom..ive heard that if you go into a local dealer with engine number you can get a unlock code..dont know if thats a goer..as ive said in earlier threads i love the motor and want it fixed badly ty in advance of any replys

You have heard correct. You should be able to obtain an EKA code from the main dealer.

Do you have a spare key? Is that playing up too?

can only open the door with original key, spare key also..turn on ignition then nothing but chimes and imobiliser light flashing away..cant open passenger door or internal opening switch of all doors and tailgate..its a nightmare its up at mates work lying out of commission,as ive said in earlier posts i love this disco td5 and by hook or crook il get her going,,cheers

... and once you've got it open, make sure the vehicle battery is in really good condition. Landrover electrics, 'specially D2 onwards, don't like poor batteries.

Mind, Landrover electrics don't like Landrovers either, thobut ... ;)

Have you got the EKA code? Or tried it already?
If you haven't it should be written on something size of business card may be with rest of car documents in the original LR folder??
