Dave and his freelander
New Member
Hello fellow freelander owners, i have just put down a deposit on a new astravan to compliment my business..... sadly this mean getting rid of my gaylander and bidding farewell to u guys, its been good chatting but before i say my goodbyes, i'd like some advice to get rid of it.......
The final straw to changing motors was that it failed its mot on a tyre and co levels...... these coupled with the ongoing noisy diff told me, to hell with it, it's gotta go, i need something reliable for work...
So im left with a dilemma, whats the best way to get rid of it for the most money, sell in the condition it is? fix it up and get the best price? (what will it cost to fix up? can i do it myself with ease?) or break it up? what do u think i could get for it on either solutions?
it has a little over 87000 miles on the clock, bodywork in average condition, steel wheels, side steps, needs a tyre, one or two mounts, diff pinion seal leaking hence noisy operation and co level needs attention. just had a new clutch and front brakes......
obviously if i fix it up i'll have the time to do it as i'll have a new transport to get me to work, so it can be put off road....
or maybe one of you guys are interested in it....
ideas welcomed guys before the final goodbyes (wipes tears)
