Hi guys, need a little help with a problem that has developed with my drivers front vent. I opened it during the "summer" weather and on shutting it hasn't shut properly, leaving a 2cm gap. The lever inside is all the way to the top inside. Any clues to what's happened, can it be easily fixed or will it need the dash to come off, many thanks:mad:

remove the split pins that secure it to the bulkhead. lift it up and undo the two small bolts that hold the flap onto the lever. and clean/lube the lever linkages until they move freely. Refitting is a reversal of the removal procedure..

The pins will have seized. Undo the two bolts underneath the flap from outside and I found if you work it up and down spraying loads of wd40 down the pin it frees up and shuts lovely.

That's if you haven't bent it :D

You can reach the lever inside the cab at the same time as pushing the ventss on the outside so you should be able to close the gap right up without any problems.

Wot he said. WD40 is your friend.
