Click to expand... That sounds like a reference to the shear bolts holding the steering lock to the column rather than removing the ignition switch from the lock.

Darmain Well-Known Member Jan 29, 2009 #4 I think you are right Chaser. I've had a look at Haynes and it seems that the lock body involves non-removable shear bolts that need drilling out. The switch has been removed before that stage. Should be alright then for a switch only service. Many thanks, Dave
