Hello All,
I've just joined the Landy Zone and was wondering if anyone can help.
I've purchased a complete set of LEDs for my defender. I've got all the lights on apart from the main lights.
In the installation instructions it says to wire back the ignition live to the cigarette lighter which I'm reluctant to do. I've had a look at some installation videos and on one it says you can find this live on the 3 pin socket for the heater using the purple/green wire.
On my defender (64 plate) I don't have a purple/green wire. I have a blue, a red and a black as shown on the photos attached. Does anyone know how to get the ignition live??
Thanks in advance for any help.
Jonny

Welcome to LZ.:)

Personally, I cannot see why wiring it to the cigarette lighter isn't a good idea. I think it will have good wiring connections, as it will draw quite a lot of current, and it probably gets a lot less use than a heater.

Other opinions may differ, and you may get some of those opinions if you post in the Defender section. (Link Below)
