Looks like a chocolate cake filter with remnants of said cake visible @blue beasty ?

It’s the turbo Intake filter , suppose to have one end unattached,

will have an arrow on it which points towards the pipe, it normally sits at the back of the engine into a clip

part number PHB000450

freelander 1 TD4
