Hi I have a Freelander 2 A 2010 model & sometimes when I am driving along an icon comes up in RED. It's just to the right of the seat belt icon and it is a body sat down with a big red ball on their lap.

What is this please, & is it a bad warning ?

Airbag at a guess, but having never driven or sat in a freelander2 it's only a guess-do you not have the owners manual for it?

Yes I have all the books belonging to it but I cannot find anything pointing to that fault.

i too thought it may be the air bag, but I'm not sure.

If it's a 2010 Freelander, it be under warranty. Give the dealer a call. Icons should be listed in the driver manwel.

Hi there,

I would check the fuse of the airbags and/or see if the passenger airbag is switched off perhaps for driving with a pregnant lady or (sad) to put a baby on the front seat. I don't know for sure but I think the passenger airbag can be switched on/off with the ignition key.

It has a five year warrenty, and I have contacted the main dealer, but I don't want to take it in if I could do any thing simple. The main dealer is 50 miles away.
