Hello Fellow Rangers, I thought I would like to share this with you all, I recently was on another forum and read about Redex - Injector cleaner. I read that it also helps in increasing millage and cleaning the injectors with the carbon deposits over the years. Well i thought i would use it and last month - in MAY, i used 2 bottles of it when i filled up the petrol and I must say the product is amazing, in the last 2 tanks, I did notice that i was getting an increase in millage, not an emmense lot but I did notice that with every 1 gallon of petrol i was getting 3.3-4 miles extra. My driving habits havent changed, but this morning I did get 40 miles extra on this last complete tank of petrol.

I must say it does take time like you feel the notice of increase after 4-5 tanks but it does work. Anyone else tried it out as yet, would be nice to share your experiences :)

i use it in me diesel van(injector cleaner). It seems to work but only see the effects for about two tanks

Once you've cleaned yer diesel injectors, use a bit of Millers Oils Cetane booster/injector cleaner in every tank. Works out at adding an extra 3p per litre (so what) but cracks off without glow plugs first time every time, runs better and gives better economy. I use that in me Deepender 200 TDi all the time as I've got a coupla knackered glow plugs and haven't got round to changing them...

hmm, well I used the fuel system treatment and injector cleaner. Seems to work a charm on my rangie and the other car.

Can I ask, all those who are using these miracle fuel products, are you using “branded” fuel (Shell, BP etc.? or, supermarket fuel?

Using LPG, prefer Morrisons to Shell as it seems to give slightly better mileage. Putting expensive stuff in, I use Shell Optimax or Sainsburys superplus unleaded (98 Octane).

I use tescos or asdas d'zul cos its cheep like the budgie(compared to the others round here) and it a company motor!

I pour a bottle of Redex in the tank now and again, not in the expectation of an improvement in economy, but to keep the injection system clean in the hope it sails thru the next MOT.

I have used Redex in the past, and still do occasionally, but there's nothing better than taking them out, soaking them and cleaning them properly (careful now, don't mess with the needle) i once bought some cleaner inhibitor (miracle snake oil type of thing) for the fuel, (diesel) put the stuff in my tank and it did a really good job, so good in fact that all the rusted mettle parts on the tank, were disintegrated, and the tank started to leak!!! so beware lol
