Hey all, heres one that may weel stump ya, but absolutely critical for.my engines performance.
in the picture my grubby paw is indicating a banjo nut, or whatever the correct term is, that I need.
It for the turbo boost pipe on a disco 200tdi.

I have racked broolwells brains and they have not got one and had no data on the nuts details.

By chance does any one know the banjo nut/bolt size metric or imperial and where I can get simular or the right banjo nut/bolt from?

scrap disco, yes, gonna put a ask in wanted section.

Well maybe his royal highness will grace this post with his presence and let you know

However;

I have no idea, theres a scrap disco 200tdi going going at Gibsons in kendal

Could ring the mechanic there if you really get stuck, he knows more or less every bolt as he's been working on LR's for over 30 years. They can get more or less any part in too as I've found out when needing series stuff

Ha ha, I reckon he will:D:D:lol:

Cheers evil, I have got an idea for a bodge...er....bush emergency repair:D

This is my plan as follows:

The bolt on the right is a M10 I think, that does not fit, so I assume the banjo bolt I need is imperial.
The blot on the left fits.
If I drill down the shaft of the bolt on the left to mimick a banjo bolt will it still work as the proper thing thing? That will give me time to find another nut from dr evils mate:D

If memory serves correct, the bolt will be 3/8 UNC, and yes you can drill through and across to give you a clear path. I did the same many moons ago, and it was till working with no problems after 8 years!

Make sure that the screw isn't too long and doesn't bottom out in the hole, use new copper washers and don't over tighten!

Cheers boss:D
I did drill that bolt out in te end as a temp till I can source a betterer option.
However its not ideal, and I drilled across the shaft of the bolt a little close to the thread and its a bit fragile.
So if I ask a banjo bolt specialist and ask for a 3/8 unc banjo bolt he/she will know what I am on about.
It's really annoying losing that bolt, never thought it would be such a pain to locate a replacement.
Cheers for ya help osd:D

If you have any problems, you could contact Auto Diesel in Newcastle (0191 276 0826) and I'm sure that they would be happy to help out.

200 tdi and 300 tdi are the same banjo .i have several or you can order ERR886,

James, I was under the impression that although the banjo is the same the bolt threads are different from 200 to 300, but I'm not sure sure...
