I had series landrovers in the past but I want to get a Defender. I want to know if there is anything defender specific that I should look out for. I know bulkheads are a must to check and swivels joints and the normal stuff. Is there anything that I should look for in detail when buying one?

There are plenty of threads with buying checks in them, do have a search through.

How much are you looking to spend, do you want a 90, 110 or 130, County Station Wagon (CSW), Van or pick up?
 
Griff (I think) did a definitive guide - i think its in the Common Faults and Questions section - have you looked?
 
not me, I dont do guides sorry. Tre looked at my 90 for me and said it was ok, so i bought it! :D

Would just like to add .....check door frames for rust[inside door cards]..often overlooked....expensive to correct!
