Hi there I own a land rover 90 and was wanting to replace the suspension with a +2 inch lift but I wanted to know if I was to replace all the springs and shocks as well as the front turrets would I then have to replace any thing on the back or would I just be able to replace the springs and shocks.

Many thanks Sam

hi and welcome

great to see a 14 year old take on a land rover

all the best for ur project and plenty of experianced people here to help

In my experience I had to replace rear shock absorber mounts that bolt to the chassis. I've done a defender and classic Range Rover and they were both too rusted to get the nuts off.

for a 2" lift you can get a kit, springs and shocks together, don't have to change the turrets on the front, might be an idea to extend the brake flexes but for a 2" lift mine are still standard, extended bump stops again a good idea.

Same here. If you really want a 2" lift (have a look at the pro's and con's first) then you can leave the brake lines as standard.

I had a 2" lift on for a little bit (hated it), and I had both wheels off the back axle and experimented with jacking one side all the way up (bump stops standard) and there was still slack in the brake lines, so don't worry about them.

It does make for worse road handling and negligible gains in the rough, the ONLY upside being slightly higher wading depth and if you want to fit huge tyres....which you don't really NEED to do, but fine if that's what you want!
