Yup, I really do, one with a Disco 2 TD5 auto who lives nearby Hertford or in West London. What I'm after is to compare mine with another, I've had a problem with the gearbox getting a bit confused to which gear to be in when pulling away sharpish or going up a hill. Normally it's fine when driving sensibly this usually only happens when I give it a bit of welly but last weekend towing two (small) horses my wife said the Disco felt that something was up when pulling the trailer and there was a strong clutch smell.
Recently I've changed the MAF, the loom (under the rocker cover), and had the car electronically tested and apparently both engine & gearbox working normally, gearbox lights work correctly as well. I had a leek in the footwell in the spring and somebody suggested that the "XY switch" could have been knackered as a result?
So what I'm after is to compare my TD5 with someone elses to see how it "should" be driving. Anyone about?
