Hi all from a rainy stoke on trent. Tonight I have purchased a Range Rover sport TDV8! I'm sure at some point I will need help from some of you, thanks for having me.

Thor is one of our ex-members. Not dead, just doesn't post any more.

He was a mildly controversial figure on LZ, although generally quite well liked.

Some members may assume you are him, returned to LZ, he has had several accounts before.

Welcome to LZ - wish I had the bravery to throw everything on black and get a mature RRS or Vogue.

Well I can safely say this is my first time here...:D

Bravery or stupidity? Haha
I don’t know why I don’t buy one tbh - the Defender I have requires thousands of pounds spending and at least you can plug a RR in for at least an idea of the problem :D If I plugged mine it the code would read rust, leaking oil and sagging headliner.

If you left it long enough, would the error codes rust and fall off?

hi and welcome to the asylum

Have a D3 and they are very similar to ur RRS, if u don’t mind me saying , check all ur wishbone, anti roll, bar bushings , brakes , as there heavy motors

fingers crossed can do all the work urself

Edit , just seen the last mot cert, so a few bits to get done before ur next mot , ur be amazed how much nicer it will drive and full wheel alignment

Miles 121,235, / 3.6 TDV8, 2007

Side steps corroded,

Offside Rear Upper Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement (5.3.4 (a) (i)),
Front Anti-roll bar pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement (5.3.4 (a) (i)),
Nearside Rear Anti-roll bar linkage ball joint has slight play (5.3.4 (a) (i)),
Offside Rear Anti-roll bar linkage ball joint has slight play (5.3.4 (a) (i)),
Front Brake disc worn, but not excessively (1.1.14 (a) (i)),

plenty here to always help over in the Range Rover section

Luckily, my best best friend is a land rover nut, and is much better with a spanner than myself. But, the new side steps are already ordered aswell as new discs and pads all round too.

that’s awesome u have someone to help , I know I wouldn’t be able to afford garage prices

had to rebuild all mine and ur be amazed how much nicer it drives after it’s all been done , please don’t think I’m being rude but get them done as soon as u can

those steps seem to be a water trap making them rust out, also check ur sills etc , going to fit some rock sliders on mine , apologises I’m waffling , lol

hope that helps a little
