After 4 years of Freelander ownership I have gone back to having a proper Landy again, a 1980 Series 3. Paint work isn't great, in fact it looks like it was painted by a blind man in a hurry but structurally and mechanically it is great. Just drove 180 miles from Chelmsford at 60-65 mph with no problems at all. Can't wait to paint it properly and get a canvas roof on it for the summer.

What a great landy! Just right for a project! 😎

Try some t-cut on the paint first and respray the wheels and it will probably come up great. The country stripes are definitely a later addition!

The paint is a bit too far gone for just t-cut, I think the guy who last painted did it with his eyes closed! It is definitely not a county, it started life as a Hardtop. I am going to going to paint it pastel green and covert it to a soft top eventually.

Lovely straight looking old thing. I don't think i'd even bother painting it. Having said that I am in the middle of painting mine. But I wouldn't have if I didn't have to if you know what I mean. Just ignore me.
