blast it! i'm due to go across Europe on the 18th and the vehicle has developed what seems to be an electrical fault!
the milometer is showing double the mileage all of a sudden, havnt noticed that theres another user lol.
vehicle stands for months on end until i go on these long journeys (for which theres no better vehicle inmo), perhaps thats not so good for it...
seems there was a 'conflict' going on at the back door btwn the door handle and the camera (thats the way it was in my imagination lol), seems the door handle won and works fine, the camera is not seen by the 'secret' diagnostic software on the screen...
intermittent error messages such as: bonnet open, or the vehcile height cannot be changed...
would this be water ingress somewhere? into the computer or into wiring?
checked the batterey its 75%.
had some work done to the turbos last year etc. as a valve failed and spewed the engine oil thru the turbos and into the air filter..
its been fine up till now, cam belts chaged and serviced regularly...

Bat needs to be perfect, anything less will cause trouble.
Get yourself one of them cheap bat trickle/maintenance chargers, about 20/30 quid.

hi folks, thanks for your advices, i changed the battery at local LR...
they are sooo expensive (LR)!
they pointed out the tracking was out and i thanked them for that, however another outfit just 100 metres away set that right for a 1/4 of thier quote for that!
heres me thinking that after 2 new tyres, tracking, service, new front brakes i was ready to drive 5000 to 7000 kms over the next 24 days around Europe over xmas...
but!!! the disco has come up with something else to worry about: bonnet open warning and the alarm tripping-purchased a new alarm sensor/bonnet catch...
most alarming though (scuse the pun) is the new warning: coolant low! it isnt low, theres plenty in there...

mais amies! any ideas, should i be concerned that the coolant isnt getting where it should or is it simply a sensor fault...

Nothing to worry about it's a common known issue just check it daily to be sure and check it's up to strengh and not a week mixture.

phew lol, thanks again }}
its driving very smoothly and floating on air as they do...
so i was surprised to see that come up...

Make sure the coolant is on the MAX line, not the MIN line, as there's easy to misinterpret.
If the coolant is at MAX, then it's a common fault, as suggested. The fix is a new coolant reservoir. ;)
