A quick question if I may. On a manual, V8 EFi 200-series Discovery, how many bolts secure the engine to the bell-housing? I think I have found six or so, but how many need to be sitting in the empty margarine tub under the car before I can shift the engine?

Thanks
Hugh

Depends on the gearbox, but 10 or 12 by memory, the top two are sods to get at, then you've got those through the sump flange as well.

Thanks. Got them all and the engine is now out.

(The top two were easy as the heads were off and lifting the engine and removing the engine mount rubbers allowed the engine to be dropped so I could get at them)
