forestdrive

Hi there. I have a 3 year old 110 that I had from new. It has a utility back. I am desperate to ask a few questions from you knowledgeable people and I should have joined the forum before. Where do I put my questions? I live in glos btw. My current questions are to do with my towing - I tow my horses with an Ifor W 510, so we are a long piece of kit! I wondered if I can get a reversing camera for hitching up, a thingy on the hitch to make it easier to get it into position on my own and I also wondered if I should have a cam that also covers me for reversing the trailer - or whether I need to find something that also looks inside at the horse travelling? I know they have that sort of thing for lorries. I love it for towing in straight lines, but I make a real pigs ear of getting round corners in reverse when I am hitching up etc. Do I need a sensor or something that beeps , so I have guidance etc? My last towing vehicle was automatic and didn't have a utility back, so I guess my all round vision was better. I do more Solo now, so like to be independent if I can. any ideas? Getting a bit tired of unhitching to move trailer from the 90 degree angle I've attempted. !!!

Welcome to the forum
Have you got a rear view mirror?

You can get wireless cameras for the inside/outside to reverse onto the trailer.
These pair up to a smart phone/pad
You can switch between these.

I swapper my mirrors for larger ones. Easy unbolt old ones & put new ones on using the same arms

As for towing my set up was 110 with 510xl trailer. Yep longer then a 7.5t. Was fun turning up with 4 ponys onboard.

Welcome. I disagree with all suggestions. Reversing a 510 horse box is simply a matter of skill and practice. It doesn't need cameras FFS. 510 trailers like all horse boxes have a good distance from the hook to trailer (the "A" frame) . As long as you are not nose heavy and wiith Defender power steering you should get used to reversing. Just do it!

@John S
The OP is having trouble attaching the trailer to the hitch. This Is due to a utility back and probably no rear mirror to guide onto the A frame alone.
Any ideas ?;)

As for reversing comes with practice
