Hallo from Germany,
i just stumbel over your forum during the search for some general vacation ideas and green laneing tips in particular.
At the moment it look like we (me,my girlfriend and her 2kids) will spent our hollidays between 12-22.August this year mainly in Devon and Cornwall.
If the sun shines bright at the beach, if the rain poures down we are in the lanes.
Thats the plan at least

Hi Christian. welcome!
I live in Devon and indeed it is a lovely place.
Visit Lyme Regis and go fossil hunting, I did this when I was a kid a loved it!
Teignmouth is very nice, shaldon nearby has a nice pub called 'the Ness'
They do nice food.
Moors, Dartmoor in particular is beautiful, but I do not recommend going off the roads there as you will get into trouble.
Devon is brilliant and Cornwall is fantastic also.
Watch out for Plymouth argyle supporters there is something wrong with their brain chemistry
Devon is great you will love it.

Bodmin moor is lovely also.
Try the north devon coast around barnstaple. Exmoor wow great place also
