have you checked relay 7 for burning also fuse bux under relay 7 ? im pulling mine tomorrow and refurbing it

Usual hvac problem book on screen so only demists front n rear screen . Weird bit is when you unplug power lead from back of unit fans work on low n does get hot but if cars in a good mood wen I plug it back in snow flake flashes and fans kick in on full
Unplugging or plugging anything in on a P38 with power on is not a good idea.

well iv stripped out the fuse box repaired all the bad connections etc up side is no more book symbol will post a proper write up with pics later.
