I had a customer today who purchased an OEM D2 hub assembly and he advised that the hub did not come with a Wabco ABS sensor. Previously they have always come with a Wabco ABS sensor - and it was also recently confirmed this was the ONLY difference between TAY100060/TAY100060G and TAY100050/TAY100050G. The hubs themselves are exactly the same unbranded bearings on both versions, and now the ABS sensors are also unbranded.

These are the same across all Allmakes and Britpart D2 hubs. The only difference anyone can confirm is the cheaper ones come with a 1 year warranty and the "OEM" ones come with a 2 year warranty.

So with this in mind, would you choose to purchase an "OEM" hub over a cheaper (half the price) alternative?

Wheel hubs are probably the only parts I buy from Britpart. They usually last up to 80 tkm and they always came with sensors.

I used to only buy genuine height sensors as well, but have found aftermarket ones last longer. The aluminium bushes rot away on the genuine ones quicker. Aftermarket are cheap enough for me to have a couple of spares on the shelf…..if I can just remember where I put them when I need them 🤨

OEM means nothing these days...it's a marketing scam, if you want something good go for a reputable brand cos there are various options https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/oem/tay100060 i bought QH last time cos if it was perfect for my wife's Hyundai for 5 years and still going strong... at least you can see on that site which of them have the wrong number of slots.. which BTW is no problem as long as you change all 4 withn the same
