just found my way here
I have a 97 300tdi 110 defender which I use for work and pleasure, mainly pleasure. I dont go green-laning as such but it is off road every day driving across the mountains(big hills really) and beaches where I live.
I am slowly 'rebuilding' it and uprating the parts that I replace(when i get round to it, had a set of bushes in the cupboard for a year). Never changed a set of brake pads until last year so it's all a learning curve for me.
I decided on a Defender because two years ago I had to walk home in waders for two months when our part of Ireland was flooded. Now I have the snorkel fitted 'road closed' signs are just another challenge.
