Hi there,

I meandered my way here as I'm currently looking to buy a 4WD. However, being the difficult individual I am, I am looking for something that seems to be exceptionally hard to find.

Being a lazy sort of chap, I am after a Defender 110 automatic (although I may settle for a 90 if this proves too difficult).

Can anyone help me?

You could always get the wife to change gear and one of the kids to push the clutch up and down..... :D

Midget Man,

LR never did a 110 auto - I tried to get one, the only UK sold 90 auto is the fab Anniversary Edition(4.0litre) - you can get conversions.
Having come to Landys from owning a Ford Explorer(sorry) I have never understood why LR don't do auto defenders - purists may argue against them - but I think LR lost some market position to our oriental chums for not doing it.
Keep lookin.

Saw a bit about auto 110s in LRO about 2 months ago. Definitely non-standard! Interesting article though.

BTW Topcatguzzi: you a biker then?

Gareth,

Yus!! I've got a Varadero XL1000. Love it to death along with the Landie!

I was commuting to London every day, but it was killing the bike and it was becoming a mode of transport and losing the fun bit. I was doing around 700 miles a week on it and couldn't be @rsed to get on it at the weekend. I'm just using it for the station and riding out on Saturdaysn with a buddy of mine. He's got a 1200 Bandit.

Have you got a Guzzi?

Awww man, I had a T3, like an armchair t'was, 'cept for the clip ons (saw a drawing of Tank Girl using them and just had to have.........sad huh?).......Hmmmm, that was until I seriously blew it up, delicate valves in those thangs!

A Landy & a Guzzi, perfick. Tom you lucky b**tard! :D

You just can't beat the sound a Guzzi makes :D Some photos of my V50 are on my website. I've also got a Beemer F650 Dakar and a Honda SS125. Absolutely nothing to do with Land Rovers, but that's the great thing about the forum: you just wander off at any old tangent...

If topcatguzzi has a Guzzi has midget man got a Midget (the MG type I'm not being politically incorrect).
Some of you are obviously into bikes. How about this, for you older farts i've got a Rocket Three engined Norton Featherbed, a 73 T120 Bonnie with a 750 Jubilee engine, and for the loonies I've a 1200 Bandit with the usual go faster bits.Hopfully in the near future armed with gratefully recieved advice from Frosticles (thanks again mate) I will be getting a landie.
Bloody hell I can't get through the door 'cos of the size of my head.
