ive just bought a discovery 2 53 plate, has got all round springs n shocks (rear end is saggy

) but all else seems well looking to make this in to a good all rounder (I know there’s not such a thing) but I want something that can green lane, pull me out of the ****n be able to drive me home too ...... am I asking to much ? My First Landy by the way

start with renewing the suspension starting at the back and dont go for much of a lift, they are pretty good in std form as a compromise

Depends how serious you want to be with mods or not. A well driven standard vehicle on appropriate tyres is very capable. Learning how to drive it and then understand the changes you want to make will be a sensible option.

Or you could dive in and buy loads of crap to bolt to it. I’m all for modding, but personally disagree with how 80-90% of off roaders are modded. And there is plenty of evidence to show that often the modded ones perform worse in many areas.
