Hi,
I've just bought some replacement hinges for my 90's front doors. I was wondering what would be the best way to spray paint them. Should I just spray the whole thing or should I knock out the pins and spray the two halves then re assemble. Not an important job or query, but I thought I'd ask.

I just sprayed mine on the back first with them opened out to expose the hinges, gave them three coats then sprayed them on the front opening the hinges to get the rest of the unpainted bits

I hung mine up on the laundry line then sprayed mine with zinc based primer, then satin black. I used stainless steel fasteners. All seems fine.

I kurusted the new hinges and then coated front and back in satin Plastikote, excellent finish but do remember to do the backs or you will end up with rust stains running down your doors after the first shower and have to strip em all back off....... ask me how I know lol....

Cheers Steve

Cheers chaps. Primed them yesterday. Did them on the washing line, then got a
b@&#?king of the mrs as I primed that too. Oops. I like the copper slip idea.
