Hi guys,

i am nearly there, thanks to this website and all you guys i only have one or two things left to do.

Got rid of the alloy wheels that i bought with it and got new ones off Joe at
Emmotts of Colne

he done me a good px. Its like a p38 part Paradise as he has everything you need. also good a bull bar off him and a rear view mirror as mine was dark all the time.

Now to the thing i have left to do, cruise control not working, need somebody to send me pictures of the pipes that i need to replace as i have been told that may be the problem.

Rear diif wining a wee bit so thinking change the oil, how do i go about doing that? where do i get diff oil? is it easy as changing engine oil?

Will leave you before and after photos of the range, been working weekends since i have bought it 4 weeks ago to restore it to its glory after a machine polish which took ages as its huge and a wax it looks the bees knees.:nothingtoadd:

Go for a drive, get oil warm. Place car on level surface. Remove filler plug. Remove drain plug drain oil into suitable recepticle. Refit drain plug, fill with new oil until it runs from filler. Replace filler plug. EP90 gear oil.

Problem area for the cruise tubing is the feed to to the bellows especially around the small plastic "T" piece and the rubber elbows, the ends tend to split.
Regarding the diffs., there is a drain plug on the bottom of the diff. casing and a fill/level plug about half way up the casing. Both plugs have a 1/2" square female head and a standard 1/2" ratchet will fit.
Remove the filler and drain plugs, check the oil for metal particles when draining.
Refit the drain plug and refill to the bottom of the filler hole with a good quality EP 90 oil.
Each diff. (Front & rear) holds about 1.7 litres. It will probably work out cheaper to buy a gallon or 5 litres of oil.

Just noticed....Wammers was quicker off the blocks than me !!!!

Note that WAMMERS said remove the filler plug first.
You don't want to drain the diff only to find that you can't get the filler plug out.
