I just saw one advertised for 1400£, wondering about their real value. I know this is unrelated, but the series section dont seem to be very active for me. Any ideas though?

Seeing as the OP is in France its a perfectly reasonable question. They had the reputation of being a very sweet engine to use.Cant be that many around, I guess most of the Santana 6 pots have been scrapped or parked under trees... Price - as with any LR is dependant on condition,if its any good its not a lot of money.

Ceased diff on the rear... I'm guessing easily replaceable, it looks like the same colour scheme as me 12j 90... so looks genuine.. not jeep or anything.. I don't know about it but I've seen a post on the forum about it and apparently they ARE quite rare..

Yea, that's what i thought. It looked like there could have been more to it to the left, but best ask ppl before i go 600 kliks to get something advertised wrongly

Admittedly, yes! a good engine for a series, but I'm ideally looking for 90/110/defenders to restore, nothing really older.

Looks like a six to me - look carefully at the injector pipes and the layout of the glow plugs.
