want to change my oil tomorrow, need to know how much oil it takes etc.

also how do i go about flushing the intercooler out etc.

Not sure about how much oil the 300 takes, but just to give ye an idea about the intercooler..

na, it will be the same for the 300. maybe some rad hoses will be different.

300 takes (i think) from memory 6.4 litres. This inc the filter. I suggest you buy 7, fill 5.5 and take it from there. I would always refer to a manual and not take other peoples guesses though.

oil capacity according to manual is 5.8 litres for the engine and 0.85 litres for the filter - 6.65 if you add them up

Also for removal of intercooler, removal is same as 200tdi but don't need to remove viscous cooling fan and coupling and fan shroud. simply need to remove two nuts securing top of cooling fan cowl to top of radiator cover and then remove the radiator cover. had to take off front grill to access rusted in nuts etc

I found cowl makes it awkward to remove intercooler but a bit of thought and it is squeezed out. Cleaned mine out by flushing through a few litres of unleaded and dried with hairdryer for 10 mins. Clean pipes to and from the intercooler as well

fan and cowl dont take 2 minutes though. and gives you better access.

definitely much more awkward if you don't remove it
