hi guys, i was just wondering how much my landy is worth just out of curiosity

i have a 1986 ex-millitry 90 2.5 N/A diesel, no problems with it at the moment apart from a very minor oil leak (well lets face it, you have to expect that from a landy), i have done some minor work to it, new altinator and changed the fuel injector solonoid, other than a tiny bit of cracking to the paintwork looks very clean, i got it from the ruggedguide so the chassis is compleatly solid, no rust, about 80,000 miles.

i have been told that i would get a good £6000 out of it but what do you guys think?

any answers will be greatly appriciated

2 pints of lager and a packet of cheese & onion
I'll see your 2 pints of lager and a packet of cheese & onion, and raise it to 2 pints of lager, a packet of cheese & onion, half a Mars bar, a slightly furry boiled sweet, and a fiver for cash! :D

Well I think you lot are just being mean. .this poor man asks a genuine question about his car.and you lot take the mikey out of him. Mate a suggestion because theyre all being so horrible , why don't you pop onto any of the dozens of websites and lookat similar models. .thatway you won't look like an opportunist newbie just joining up to sell your gear and hiding behind a what's it worth question......not that im saying you did , you understand.

Oh btw..if you do want to sell. .I'll raise the offer to a bpgof voucher offer for dominoes and some homemade soup ( got t to decide quick though...I made it monday )

yh i kinda thought it might of been a bad idea to ask that here, ohwell.

anyways, you guys think im stupid? i got it for: 3 goats, half a dead cat and a nearly full pack of chewing gum (spearmint), so your gonna have to do better than that im afraid!

I would have thought a more realistic figure would be about half what you were told you would get fer it. Maybe 3.5k on the bay.

I'll raise you a dead badger, an empty can of WD40 a half eaten left twix and the neighbors cat.

Anything to £4000 I'd say. You can get a solid 200/300tdi for that sort of money so no one would go for a n/a at that price.

£6k is what a top notch ex-MOD 2.5NA D 90 will fetch at release or from a trader, on the private market the value is less so around £4-4.5K is a realistic estimate if it as good as you say.
If it is in standard MOD spec then that is better as they always sell better than ones that have been played around with by civy owners. Straight panels etc are also an excellent selling point as is a good chassis & bulkhead etc.

Don't forget that with the recent release of so many 90 XD's (Wolf) the value of the earlier models is going to be held down and always be less than that of the later vehicles. With the price of a servicable Wolf starting at around £8K I think there will always be a significant gulf between the cost of the two vehicles regardless of the fact that in real terms, a peach of a 2.5ND A 90 would be better value than a really tatty Wolf. Unfortunatelythe latter is seen as somewhat of an icon so demands a higher price.

I suppose it depends on where you sell it. I'm guessing it'd reach £1900-2300 on eBay. I saw an ex military 110 with low mileage not even selling for a buy it now price of around £1900.

Or you could convert it to LHD as long as its an original chassis with all matching numbers you could double your money in the US, Belgium, Holland or Germany.
