Unfortunately I have to get rid of my beloved 90 because I simply dont have the money to get her running with other financial commitments aswell as being surplus to requirements with a new job. What I would like to know is how much it is worth in its current condition/spec:

C reg, 1986 90/defender

Known problems:

No MOT
Tax runs out end of june 08
Exhaust leak


Bits replaced:

Recon gearbox fitted couple months ago
new clutch+master+slave cylinders
new water pump
new PAS steering box
cam belt changed approx 100 miles ago
new oil cooler pipes
new intercooler-manifold pipes (silicone/S steel)
very good paintwork, resprayed last yr

Upgrades/mods:

200tdi disco engine transplant
old man emu shocks
3" suspension lift
Warn 8286? winch
Top light bar
Kenlowe fan
set of Greenway Anacondas aswell as standard tyres
Excellent condition waxoyled chassis
tow ball fitted
front/rear light guards
checkerplate on front bumper, front wing tops, bonnet


.........think thats it. Any help would be great :)
 
difficult to say without seeing it. I paid £600 for my 87-TD90. For yours I'd say between £1k & £2k depending on how good it is.
 
It all depends! I paid £4k for my C reg 90. But it was in good nick when I got it and had been sat un-used in a garage for 10yrs, and had been re-sprayed and had stuff added like rock sliders, 300tdi, re-spray, etc. And it was a 'trade sale'. So I cun guaruntee they chucked a good percentage on top. If its a red one it wont be worth fook all cos they dun't go up hills..;) :D
 
To get it through the MOT, as far as I know it needs the front part of the exhaust replacing with either a custom bit or a steve parker one for the disco conversion. Apart from that its in good nick.
 
how much are you looking to get for it ? - post some pics of it and the chassis/bulkheads

i might be interested
 
Whoknows? Depends on the chassis really. If the chassis is good then maybe 2k to 3k if not the less. Take a look at LRO magazine
 
if your looking to get rid of it, do it quickly,with the price of diesel exploding, nobodys gonna want gas guzzlers soon except the hardcore. when i got mine last year ebay averaged around 2000 land rovers at anyone time, recently ive noticed there being 3500+ on ebay, except for today were i have just checked and its back down to 2000 again...strange:confused: im gonna lose my job soon, as are many other people so i can see the market gettin flooded with them and draggin the price of them right down! im gonna end up on a ****in moped :D
 
there isn't an air filter due to the previous owners disco conversion and snorkel upgrades, I think under the bonnet is another colour from before the respray.
