hey peeps so im wondering how much is a full tank of diesel and how many miles on a full tank?

this is the freelander 2 im on about

Depends on the price at the pump and how fast you drive. Seriously. Range is dependent on driving style, but expect 400~500 miles.

Diesel is about £1.32 for the normal stuff and £1.42 for the ultimate stuff, per litre. All at the local BP fool station. Freelander 2 has a 68 litre tank. Around town and a bit of 40mph cruising, the SD4 (higher output power than the TD4 version) will do 25mpg. A little more cruising than town driving and yer up to 30mpg. Ont motorway a constant 70mph it will do 38mpg. At 50mph it will do 51mpg on cruise control ont flat, measured over a 15 mile distance int road works.

A 60 litre fill up (yer never let it go empty) is around £79 to £85 depending on which fool yer pick. Don't ferget yer necter points. 60 litres will get yer 330 to 500miles depending on the speed yer doing. If yer drive it like yer stole it then a lot less mpg but yer'll get there quicker.

Litres,hippo..... td4 you might achieve 400-450 miles per tank, sd4 you will manage 50-100 miles more, based on the two vehicles I owned

Is that the same as hanging about public toilets then?
I have no idea.

The Freelander section is a pleasant, clean and dry place to be. There's a faint smell of lavender int air from a scented candle. I would image public toilets to be smelly and damp...

like yer disco. :p :D

Touche'.......,and how did you know my D1 smells damp,........well damp with just a hint of engine and gearbox oil.
Thought the water ingress in rainstorms was a "footwash feature".

They're normally damp because the roof and sunroof's leak. Yer would think the rust holes int floor would help dry it out. ;)

Have a look round in ere and enjoy yerself. Yer never know... this time next year yer could own a Freelander. :)

Egzacty, cos a Freelander sunroof, or back door indeed, would never let in any water or rust out. You'd never find a fish tank in a Freelander.

Of course the floor doesn't rust out - so the cars just fill up till the doors fall oft

Unblock the sunroof drain pipes. Fit the rear window seal propper. Unblock the air vent in the rear behind the plastic. Job done on a Freelander. Doors dun't fall oft when wet. ;)

yea when i got the car it had a quarter of a tank in there but i filled it up and it cost about £75 to full tank and i got my tesco clubcard points

Mine gives around 600 to 700 miles according to the car, i do use the app 'fuel monitor', which tracks actual consumption to mileage and driving it down to london approx 200 miles each way for the last couple on months once a week means that recently i've been getting around 45mpg thats cruising at 65 mph (a tip i picked up that means you overtake the HGV's but don't get stuck too much in a queue in the outside lane in a 3 lane road) , overall having done 16,000 miles since having the app logging I'm averaging 42.7mpg , this is an ED4 GS not driven like a hooligan, I keep in my mind that full tank gives about 600 miles and fill up around the car display saying i've 100-150 miles range left in the tank, i generally use supermarket fuel for 3 tanks then Esso, Shell or BP for 1 tank
