How much would it cost me to replace a worn out 200 or 300TDi with a recon engine?

do a search on here. there are loads of posts. 2nd hand 200tdi straight swap 8-900. disco 200tdi engine 6-700 but you need to mod bits. kits cost £300ish.

just buy a 110 in the right colour with a decent engine?!

The reason I'm asking about the engine is that if it all goes t**ts up when running on Smartveg (vegetable oil and diesel twin tank system) I need to know how much it might cost me. (Sounds like the most catastrophic problem would be having to replace the piston rings and injectors etc)
