So just curious as to how much everyone is paying, especially keen on how much stock and some heavily ish modified landrovers cost?

Edit:
An update 4 years later, I got my license and a defender. Currently quote to insure it at 18 with a years experience was £1.2k, first year £2k.
Sadly couldn't afford the insurance this year as I also have another car that I use for work (pizza driving), as that was the only car I could take to university my defender is currently wrapped up in a cover back home :(
If sheffield wasn't so bad for car thefts I would love to have it here, but heard to many horror stories.

No Idea, I have never asked for a quote for a std motor as a comaparison against a heavily modified motor.

But then insurance costs rely on lots of oher inputs other than just the vehicle. So would not be comparable to other peoples quotes.

Cheers

Galv chassis, bulkhead, and. Door frames, Stainless exhaust. 200tdi and disco gearbox ( was N/A)
LSD in rear,
more importantly I'm over 60 and live in a low crime area..
Insurance just over £300

Including road tax £ 113 for the Rangie and 118 for the Disco 2 v8.
It is collected all together here. Insurance is about half.
