Hi There

So, after some research and some advice - suppose I went for a Freelander Td4 for my 1st Landy . . . whats the cut off for mileage?
I've seen a really nice
2002 LAND ROVER FREELANDER 2.0 Td4 GS Hardback 3dr Diesel on a 52 plate

that I like for £ 2495 . . .but 117000 on the clock. As opposed to a
2001 Y Reg LAND ROVER Freelander 2.0 Td4 S Hardback 3dr

with 74000 miles on the clock.

Both look to be in pukka nick . . .but which would you go for??

Cheers

More important than mileage is service history and having a knowledgeable person check the vehicle for damage and signs of abuse. Having made your choice then schedule regular servicing and finally get a good warranty plan organised, they cost little and have saved me thousands. Our eldest TD4 is now 165K miles and going strong.

Thankyou for that. That's useful advice and I'll bear it in mind. Many people on here seem to be suggesting that a Discovery would be better. Would I seriously be better considering an older Discovery (ie: within my price range) with more mileage & wear etc, than a younger Freelander? Cheers

for that price id try and pick up a disco or strech my budget a bit a get a defender
you might still have problems but there easier to fix and hold there value better
