Well?
Our tweaked TD5 110 got 115mph on the sat nav with all the overland gear on, including roof tent. It was probably not safe, cretainly didn't feel safe; defender + 115mph = scary!!

I think it was inteligent, I know lot's of people with tuned Landies. Probably majorly out numbered by standard ones though...

After tweaking the engine to improve performance, did you also upgrade the brakes, suspension and tyres to cope with the increased top speed?

i aint found a private road thats suitable for speed trials....so can only say it will do 70 easily.

i dont want points and increased insurance premiums or the hassle a ban would bring

The rest of the landy was sort of done, suspension is standard and is on all terrains. brakes are nice n' big.

So sort of done so no road tyres stiffened suspension you know all them things that make fast landys safe :rolly:
