Does anyone know how easy this is to do . What about the cost of a kit there must be a cheap way of doing this .

from what i know about lpg it should be fairly easy if you can find/make the right adapter fer the injun. but i suspect you'd be better off fitting a 200 doosul and running on tesco's finest

yer be nice would a series 3 gear box fit it or would i need to change that aswell because ive got a Pto winch fitted.

Been looking / thinking about this myself.
Theses guys do a DIY kit for £440.

Fitting a doosul only makes sense if your current engine is knackered and you intend to run Veg oil.
If it's a doosul you want then have a look at the 2.5 lumps with out a turbo caus i think they will bolt on to your series 2 GB.
Plus the added advantage of a LPG kit is you can always move it on to your next landy.

Or try to find a knackered LR with an LPG kit already fitted (pref with a V8, but then I'm biased ;) ) then canabalise it into yours.

They do come up from rime to time & it's not a bad way of doing the job economically & yer git a bunch of spares to boot.

How bad are the 2.5 d N/A i know the 2 1/4 is sh#t my friend had one and god it was slow. Do fancy the idea of extreme wading.Could fit twin tanks and run on red then switch to tax paid.

where s a 2 1/4 petrol wired up for gas would push yer back in the seat with its insatiable ammount of g force????

yella you are funny . if its a 10% power loss then sod that. That would knock it on the head prehaps i will look at 2.5na

You say about staining the fuel lines but they only dip the tank. If they didnt notice the left hand tank ,if youv'e got a normal filler neck are they gonna start lifting up seats. Saying that i don't know anyone thats been dipped.

Running two tanks, and having "red" aka Gas Oil in one of them is still an offence even if you run on duty paid. Simply being on a road with red in a tank, is going to let them annoy you big time.

They wont have to caus if i was plod i would take a look at the galss bowl of the fuel lift pump.
Or the inline fuel filter.
You would be better off runing svo/wvo caus you can use up 2500ltrs per year without incuring duty.

OOH that's a good idea. I bet no one in HMC&R has ever come across a second tank before. Or double skin tanks with a small amount of normal diesel in the outer tank. and the rest of it filled with red, or people trying allsorts of other weird and wonderful devices to try and fool them.
