Went to fit new pads to the '03 TD5 today and noticed that the discs had quite a lip on them. Don't have a gauge to measure, but reckon there is as much as 2-3mm at the edge of the disc. So abandoned job until I have sourced some discs and will do all at the same time.
How do you decide on discs, there is such a huge range in prices and types:
Chips: Mail Order 4x4 Front Brake Discs
Bacon: SDB000380M | Front Brake Disc - Mintex
Steak: SDB000380SD | Paddock Performance Front Brake Discs (pair) - slotted and drilled
Anybody got experience with more expensive drilled/slotted discs that make them worth the extra? I don't fit cheap crap to my disco, so I don't mind paying a bit more if I'm getting something for the money.
Thanks for opinions!
