I have a 2003 disco 2 TD5 auto and i want to either remove the TC or at least put a switch on the dash were by i can switch it off and on whenever suits..... in fact that's what i really want to do.... install a switch on the dash, which wire controls the TC or what would be the quickest way of doing this??
Thanks lads

To be honest, I don't think such an arrangement would even be possible.

The traction control system is an integeral part of the ABS, so I don't think you can just turn the bits you don't like off just like that.

I'm sure that if it can be done, somebody else will be able to tell you how.

Thanks for the response Brian..... I understand what your saying but im kinda hoping that there is perhaps a wire that signals for the TC to fire.... an input wire or wires somewhere that i can link into and mount a switch on the dash.
Would you know where i could source a connection / terminal diagram for the ABS pump???

Cheers bud

seirrafery would know, but i thought when diff lock is engaged traction control is switched off at least on the earlier models a feature for roller testing

James is spot on, you have to switch an earth to the diff lock input of SLABS ECU C0506-9(black/blue wire) , cut that wire and insert a blocking diode with it's (+) against the swithed earth and ECU plug as to block the earth coming from your retrofitted switch to not affect othe systems(warning light, BCU, etc)...though being 2003 modell it's possible to not inhibit completely the TC but it will reduce seriously it's activity

Why would you want to switch it off anyway,it only works when you need it so you would have to switch it back on and the system does it for you ?
