I was going to make a thread Re. this ............ be a great idea, as a newbie im struggling to find anything that jumps out and says "Meets here". I'm on many other car forums and this generally is the format ......

Local Meets
Sub-Forums: Scotland, NW England, NE England, Midlands, SE England, SW England, Northern Ireland/Ireland, Wales

another format

Saxperience Regional Meets - General Chat

Sub-Forums: North West, Central Counties, Central South, South Wales, North East, North Wales, East Midlands, East Anglia, Scotland, South East, South West, West Midlands, Yorkshire, Ireland, Isle of Wight

Each region has a "meet" official Regional Meet Leader/Regional Meet Official, and basically just puts it all together, takes the ideas and says right by popular demand this is where the majority want to meet .. time date and place, and books shows. Im a RML on another site and it works quite well aslong as there is the enthusiasm from said person and region members. and you can do joint meets with other forums or regions line North East and West i.e

Just a thought Scotty :)

We herts laners offroaders general people meet every first Wednesday of the month and have done for several years. I believe many others OOP North are starting a meet

Are we? Will someone keep me informed? Ta

You want it go out, put a post up and see who wants to go. Simples !

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD to annoy the Curmudgeons !

Some peeps are willing to travel for a crackin weekend others not, the way it is now everyone gets to know and choose what they fancy doing

See id be a bit confused if you did that...some of us midlanders are off out to wales at the weekend and people are welcome to join us.

So would this go under a warwickshire meet or a wales meet

See if you had regions you would be ;) lol

Regional groups dont detract from that at all, I.e if there was a North East and North West sections a joint meet between the 2 might actually increase the size of the meet. When i was a regular on Saxperience (Saxo owners club) we had a joint North of England meet a Bolton Abbey with the 106oc, the regions that met were -

Yorkshire - main organisers
Midlands East and West
North West and East england
Scotland

The turn out was about 150 cars all in. Im sure if something like was organised on here there would be as good as turn out.

Lol :p be in General events or on Cliosport it would be in Events and holidays , the regions are sub forums of these Events sections.

Another couple of layouts -

106oc

No that would be under sub section 7 paragraph 6 headed Cake munchers meet :D

Try setting up a sub section or two, might or might not work only time would tell.

Most on here meet up for off roading or greenlaning and these "do's" can only have a limited no of motors so local meets may work.
You wouldn't really want 150 off rd landrovers let loose on a pretty greanlane:eek:

I too have seen this format on other land rover forums (well I only kinda visited).... however I found that they lead to isolationism.... people stop browsing freds from other areas.... totally not what we do here
