Hi i have a 2003 Discovery td5 auto which has developed a smell of hot oil whenever I go up a steep hill.
Also on the odd occasion when going up a steep hill the engine revs will fluctuate even though i have my foot held steady on the throttle, it’s almost as if it’s trying to change gear but can’t.
I’ve had the oil and filter in the gearbox changed but has made no difference.
