Are the mirrors heated all the time the engine is running?
I thought they only came on with the HRW?

Noticed today that ours are both rather warm all the time the engine is running.

which mirrors??

Sorry I didn't make it very clear - yes this is the door mirrors and not the interior and vanity mirrors

The horn has also just stopped working and now the mirrors no longer get hot so I think they must be on the same circuit and a fuse has blown but the fues panel cover legend shows the mirrors and washers as having their own fuse and there is no fuse listed for the horn?????

Looks like our wiring is a bit different to what it should be!

It's all OK!

Fuse box in engine compartment houses horn fuse (15A) - horn works fine now.

The mirrors still get hot - must be that I never noticed before??

I didnt know that the door miror is heated. which fuse number is for the mirror? Maybe mine blown

My passenger door mirror no longer heats up, drivers side works fine,.

If they get whacked by branches or other objects then the ciruit inside the mirror breaks, so they no longer heat up.

Heated mirrors only serve purpose on frosty mornings and heavy fog, they are a big drain on the alternator too
