HI guys i'm looking to get a dse p38 as i've always wanted one and winters are getting harder on this welsh mountain i live on and i need a sensible car all my others are jap import sports cars.. so i thought i'm a member of other specialist forums they are very helpfull so i figured you guys would be to.

So here goes as i work in car sales i am very concious of wasting peoples time just looking to see how things worked then going home an buying of ebay so hence why i'm here..

my first question is i'm thinking of using it as a partime camper ie matress in the back like i did with a Volvo T5 i had once, so do the rear seats fold flat or maybe even work the same as the discovery 200 series (works car) ie roll over on its self..

On a serious note buy a 200 or 300tdi disco (pre EDC electronic control)

Watch out for rust on
Inner wings
sills
boot floor/crossmember.

If you buy a p38 dse you will want a powerbox to plug in as they are **** otherwise
Look round the range rover section.
Bcem and electrical issues common
enginge and bcem loosing sync common
Hot start problem and fix common on diesels
V8 the liners slip

the p38 wont be the most reliable thing you can buy but good luck with it if ya do..take a look in the rangy section for advice on the p38:welcome2:
