HiI was wondering if anybody out there can give me some advice as to roughly how long it should take to diagnose and fix a leaking High pressure fuel pump on a TDV6 disco3.
It has now been 3 weeks since t went in with a"leaky top rail", in the middle if week two (my fault for telling them I was working away for two weeks) I got a phone call to say that the high pressure fuel pump was also leaking it it should be ready by the end if the week. On the Friday of week two I made a phone call to be told they were waiting for a new drive belt and it wouldn't be ready after all.
Week three another phone call to be told the new pump was also leaking and they were waiting for the pump supplier to come and look at it. By the end of week three and another chase up call by me, I was told the pump supplier gad agreed to pay all costs involved in swapping the pump and it should be ready Monday (yesterday) because they had one guy working full time on my car to get it done.
Then yesterday the final kick in the balls, the mechanic gad gone sick with a bad back and they were going to ship the car to the diesel specialist to get it finished and I would get a phone call "sometime tomorrow" (today) to say how much longer it was going to take......
Is it just me or us some one taking the ****...?????
